  16.         SYMPTOM:     Unable to install on primary partition because
  17. primary partition is too small.
  18.  
  19. ISSUE/PROBLEM        
  20. If the primary partition is less than 2.5 MB DR DOS will not
  21. install.  If Security is enabled during installation, Fdisk can not
  22. correct this situation because of the secure disk and installation
  23. will not complete, but security will be installed.

  26. SOLUTION            
  27. Boot from the initial installation floppies.  Press F10 to abort
  28. and exit to DOS.  From the A: Prompt, Make drive C: bootable by:
  29. SYS C:\. Copy the following files to drive C:
  30.  
  31. LOGIN.EXE
  32. CONFIG.SYS
  33. AUTOEXEC.BAT
  34. SSTORDRV.SYS
  35. DEVSWAP.COM
  36. INSTALL.EXE
  37. FDISK.COM
  38.  
  39. Rename C:\INSTALL.EXE to C:\SETUP.EXE.  Remove the floppy from
  40. drive A: and reboot the computer.  Enter the Master password.  
  41.  
  42. At the C: prompt, type SETUP. Selecte only the SECURITY option. 
  43. Enable SECURITY and enter a different password for the MASTER
  44. PASSWORD and the USER PASSWORD.  Complete the installation and exit
  45. to DOS.  Run SETUP again.  This time, disable SECURITY, complete
  46. the installation and exit to DOS.  Now type FDISK and remove all
  47. partitions on the hard drive.  Create a primary partition of at
  48. least 3MB in size (recommend 10MB).  Reboot off intial installation
  49. floppies and complete install.
